Auditions for The Theatre Expansion!
Providence’s most cutting-edge theatre company is looking for male and female actors of multiple origins, with dance or movement backgrounds, to perform in The Theatre Expansion’s resident company, beginning in August with Eugene Ionesco’s The Bald Soprano.
Actors chosen will be highly diverse in their range of character portrayal and will have previous professional or serious academic theatre or dance experience. All actors will sign a one-season contract and will be paid for all performances. Actors will perform in at least two out of the three plays in the season, and may be asked to understudy what they are not cast in. They may also perform in the company’s annual Dancestravaganza concert.
Please Bring:
*Current Headshot and resume.
*Two contrasting contemporary monologues from a play written within the last 75 years.
*Comfortable clothes easy to move around in.
*Auditioners will be asked to read from the play currently being cast. The Bald Soprano, by Eugene Ionesco
When: Saturday July 29th 2006, 2:00-6:00pm.
Where: Gaige Auditorium in Gaige Hall at Rhode Island College. 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave. Providence, RI.
