There was exciting news on the front page of this morning’s Providence Journal. The Silk Road Project, Yo-Yo Ma’s innovative cross-cultural music and education project, is moving to Rhode Island! The article by the Journal’s Bill Van Siclen says that “[The Silk Road Project] will establish a residency program that will bring RISD students and faculty members together with an international array of musicians, including Ma himself.”

RISD is a great community partner, and we look forward to some exciting things happening, not just on the RISD campus but also throughout our area.
