Steven Jobe and Minneapolis dance company Three Dances are preparing an Open Rehearsals event that features Jobe’s two large-scale hurdy-gurdies. For their portion of the Music for Three Hurdy-Gurdies production, Brinsley Davis, Jamey Leonard and Suzanne Wiltgen will play Stage Hands who explore the possibilities of the instruments onstage, allowing the audience to see how they are played and the exotic sonic landscape they create.
The Open Rehearsals event was funded in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts.
