CONNECTIONS COOP fundraiser party!!
Come dance to hip hop and Brazilian music, celebrate, come together, play games, and support our worker-owned women’s cooperative. We will have activities for kids!Party Featuring:
Music by Riders Against the Storm and Jack Ohly
Open Mic and Art Exhibit on the Theme of Immigration by local artists
Tickets for the fundraiser are $15

Connections Cooperative is a worker-owned women’s cooperative working to bridge cultural and communication barriers by offering services in translation, interpretation, community organizing, technical
assistance, language classes, popular education, and more. We base our work around the belief that communication is crucial to community health, equal access to services, and democratic participation in
community processes. Current projects include: a Spanish class that aims to place the language in its cultural and political context, interviewing Latina women regarding issues and challenges of access to reproductive health services for the Immigrant Women’s Abortion Access
Project, and community education on history and models of cooperativism and its roots in Latin America.

Connections Coop es una cooperativa de mujeres trabajadoras-dueñas que trabaja para salvar las brechas culturales y de comunicación a través de servicios de traducción, interpretación, organización
comunitaria, asistencia técnica, clases de idioma, educación popular y más. Basamos nuestro trabajo en la creencia que la comunicación es clave para la salud de las comunidades, el acceso equitativo a servicios, y la participación democrática en procesos comunitarios.
Ahora mismo nuestros proyectos incluyen: facilitar una clase de español que enfatiza el contexto cultural y político del idioma, entrevistas con mujeres Latinas acerca de los desafíos de accesar servicios de salud reproductiva para el Proyecto de Acceso de Aborto
de Mujeres Inmigrantes, y educación comunitaria sobre la historia y los modelos del cooperativismo y sus raíces en Latinoamérica.
