April 17 – 29, Perishable Theatre, 95 Empire St, Tickets: One Show $15/ Two Shows $25, Students/Seniors/Military – One Show $12/ Two Shows $22, The Drum of the Waves of Horikawa is the first co-production from Perishable Theatre and New York based company, Theatre of a Two-Headed Calf. Half theatre, half punk performance, inspired by Kabuki, The Drum of the Waves of Horikawa is the latest creation-in-development by the same company that received raves for its reinvention of George Bernard Shaw’s Major Barbara. The New York Times says, Theatre of a Two-Headed Calf is “making its mark.”
