Call to Filmmakers
Attention Rhode Island Filmmakers!: RICH and Rhode Island PBS Launch New Film Series
Proposals Now Being Accepted from Local Filmmakers to Produce Short Films
Throughout 2006, occurring once a month, RICH and Rhode Island PBS are organizing and broadcasting the Neighbors Without Fences film series reflecting upon the factors that unite and divide America. The series will reflect on this question from several perspectives and will include both historical and contemporary events or issues.
We are seeking proposals for short videos to explore the Rhode Island angle to the issues addressed in the feature documentary. Local shorts will follow the fulllength film each night of the series. The videos should be original, and either researched in consultation with a scholar/expert or involved an interview with one.
Selected proposals will receive $1000 awards upon completion of the short film in addition to being broadcast on Rhode Island PBS. For more information or to request the RFP, please contact RICH program officer, SueEllen Kroll at sue@rihumanities. org.
