9pm Manbeard, Pwrfl Power, Green Bean, The Vonneguts and That Goes That GREEN BEAN from Riverside, East Providence, Rhode Island, USA plays lo-fi rock using guitars, drums, vocals, and various vintage keyboards such as mellotron and pianet. You could describe the sound as being influenced by both 60′s psych & surf music as well as 80′s alternative rock such as the Meat Puppets, Sonic Youth, and even the B-52′s. Although our album is recorded as straight-forward songs, our present performances tend to build musically by incorporating odd time signatures against one another, and odd musical quotes. Our favorite quote goes like this, “Unfortunately ( green bean ) also reminds me a lot of old 90′s lo-fi slacker/stoner indie rock that everyone praises and I have massive amounts of trouble getting into”. THAT GOES THAT is a one-man-band from Westerly, RI. Founded by John-Paul Sullivan, the guitarist of EVER and Anisette, That Goes That seeks to combine the frantic pounding of Korg EMX synth drums and bass with the spastic tapping of a sunburst orange Hamer super-shred 9000.
