Submissions are welcome from students, individual artists and design teams.The winning design team will receive a cash prize of $5,000. The Rhode Island Convention Center Authority will own the chosen design and all rights of reproduction.The plaza, located at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Building at LaSalle Square, is directly across from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center-Providence. The plaza, prominently located in Downtown Providence, is surrounded by Sabin, Washington and Empire Streets, and the BCBS building. The Honor Roll is made up of twelve (12) panels that are 9′ high x 3′ wide x 4″ thick. The material is granite with a polished face. The panels must be re-sited, reset in new foundations, and integrated into an overall design plan within the plaza.
