We hope you’ll join us in congratulating Gamm Education Director and Resident Actor Steve Kidd who is heading to New York City this weekend to receive the National Child Labor Committee’s prestigious Lewis Hine Award.
The annual award goes to 10 unheralded professionals and volunteers who devote extraordinary time and energy to helping children and youth move toward self-sufficient and satisfying adulthoods. Steve is being honored for his decade of work at Camp AmeriKids/AmeriCares, a summer camp for children with HIV/AIDS, where he serves as program director during the summer. Steve travels to middle and high schools, colleges, and community centers throughout the Northeast performing a one-man play that he wrote about children with HIV/AIDS based on his camp experiences.
