A job well done goes out to the cast & crew for their great performances of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.Next on the calendar, Swamp Meadow Summer Children’s Theatre opens its third season with the production of “Scheherazade and the Arabian Nights” adapted for Swamp Meadow by Heather Christie (Director). Scheherazade is a wonderful tale of adventurous emperors, fire-breathing demons, and trickery beyond all reason. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy!Audition dates are June 4th-6th from 5 to 8 PM, the doors will close at 7:30. These are open auditions for all children ages 6 to 16. A wallet size photo is needed. Auditions will consist of a 30 second memory piece and a cold reading and will be held at Captain Isaac Paine School, Foster Center Rd. Foster RI 02825.

Also we have Swamp Meadow Community Theatre/ Foster Ole Home Days open auditions for our very own “FOSTER IDOL”. Auditions will be held on Friday, July 11 from 5-9 PM and on Saturday, July 12 from 3-7 PM at the Foster Town House, Howard Hill Rd. Foster RI. Bob can be reached at 401-397-4740 or revbobh@aol.com Now, I saved the best for last, our very own Samantha Pike was nominated for best female lead performance by Motif in 2007 for her role as Charlotte, from our production of Charlotte’s Web.Sam also performs with our Victorian Carolers, she has acted in The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, Treasure Island and just finished up with Twelfth Night.
