LOVESICK/ SEASICK EXHIBITION OPENS AT YES GALLERY + STUDIO

Robert MalinowskiLOVESICK/SEASICK, a group exhibition, explores the feeling of being tossed around by the sea – be it the actual sea or the sea of love. The exhibit features works by over 20 visual artists from around the country, and opens this Friday July 11th at YES Gallery + Studio in Warren, Rhode Island (and runs through August 8.) Local artists include painter David Gonville and photographer John Foraste. Musician Steve “Lightnin” Lighty will perform sea shanties and other tunes. The event is free, but reservations are required as seating is limited.

Proceeds from LOVESICK/SEASICK are going to Save the Bay, which is committed to fostering a personal connection between people and Narragansett Bay by working to protect, restore and explore the bay and its watershed.

YES Gallery + Studio is located in Warren’s quaint historic district, a tax-free arts district where clients pay no sales tax on works of art. The building was built in 1883 and has a rich history that includes being the studio of well-known author and illustrator David Macauley.
