DRAWING THE ENVIRONMENT AT COGGESHALL FARM
DRAWING THE ENVIRONMENT, a program developed by Elaine Smollin at the
BLACKSTONE RIVER AND CANAL in Quinnvill/Ashton and on the Hudson River
will be offered in BRISTOL at COGGESHALL FARM beginning this New Year.
The idea is to place the studio classroom directly in the natural world.
Drawing methods from art and archaeology are offered in two-hour sessions for
private classes and small groups.
2009 is the 100 year anniversay of Rhode Island’s State Parks.
DRAWING THE ENVIRONMENT was created to encourage our interests in
nature and society and in doing so, to create venues for higher arts
education in our preserved landscapes. A portion of proceeds benefit
landscape preservation.
SPECIAL WORKSHOPS held for 14 days surrounding MEMORIAL DAY, FOURTH OF
JULY AND LABOR DAY at COGGESHALL will benefit the COGGESHALL FARM
MUSEUM.
DRAWING THE ENVIRONMENT is now offered as a master class in art,
society and environment in partnership with schools and museums.
It would be lovely to see you at Coggeshall this year.
Drawing the Environment RI will be offered as two-hour sessions from
sunrise to sunset.
