Gallery Z News and Events for February 24th
Greetings From Gallery Z!
This week will be the final week of our
current exhibition of Erotic art at Gallery Z.
A special thanks to Diva’s Palace,
Salon Bianco, Rosebud Salon, Old World Cigar & Magazine Emporium,
and International Biscuits & Confections for their support this
month with generous donations that contributed to the success of our
Valentine’s Day Black & Red event. Our opening reception was also a
wonderful event and the body painting demonstrations by Ricky Vespia
were a hit with the crowd, creating a provocative atmosphere and
entertaining all in attendance at the reception.
This exhibition
features a tasteful selection of erotic artwork from Kevork Mourad,
Reuben Nakian, John Hames, assemblage artist Julian Penrose,
Kyle Ringquist, Michael Berkowitz, Michael Bryce, George Apotsos,
Alan Metnick, Erin Starr, and neon artist Varky. Through different
mediums these artists explore the sensuality of the human form and
challenge the viewer’s definition of what constitutes an erotic
artwork.
This week is also the final week to view an extraordinary exhibit of Armenian arts
and culture at the TSETSE Gallery.
Through a collaboration with Berge Ara Zobian of Gallery Z, the TSETSE Gallery has
hosted this exhibit, which compliments the TSETSE Gallery’s mission to “Build Community
Through Art.” This exhibit not only displays exceptional art done by Armenian artists,
but it also provides educational information about the history of the Armenian culture.
If you haven’t seen this exhibit, you still have an opportunity to do so before
the show closes on Friday, February 27th. The Gallery is open this week from 10am
to 5pm Wednesday through Friday. It is suggested to call in advance to avoid conflicts
with scheduled group visits.
