Assistant Professor, tenure-track position starting August 1, 2006. Seeking artist to teach sculpture and/or 3D design at both graduate and undergraduate levels. MFA or equivalent professional experience required. Applicants must have good technical knowledge of sculpture materials and processes. Portfolio must demonstrate strong conceptual abilities and awareness of contemporary and theoretical issues. A persuasive and current exhibition record is also required.
College level teaching experience and interdisciplinary practices are preferred. Energetic sculptor with new ideas for continuing to develop and transform sculpture program will be desirable. Artists who have interest in 3-dimensional design, foundations education, interdisciplinary practices, community outreach and public art are encouraged to apply.
