SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: For 2009 Pawtucket Arts Festival
Pawtucket –The Pawtucket Arts Festival seeks VOLUNTEERS during the events held August 28-September 13, 2009. Volunteers are needed for food & drink assistance, setup and cleanup, ticket collection, selling arts festival merchandise, and parking at the Festival Gala and Taste of Pawtucket on Friday, August 28th at Slater Mill from 2:00pm to 11:00 pm. Help is needed for the Taste of Pawtucket from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Other events include the Dragon Boat Races on Saturday, August 29th from 8:00am-5:00pm; Slater Mill Labor & Ethnic Heritage Festival on Sunday, August 30th from 12-5pm and Stone Soup Folk Fest and Arts Fest in Slater Park on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10:00am-5:00pm. Volunteers will work in shifts and not required to work during the duration of the events. Students are welcomed.
Locations of the festival are throughout the City of Pawtucket, with main events occurring at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center, Slater Memorial Park, Slater Mill, and the School Street Pier.
