AS220 PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY 2010 CALENDAR
Photographic Memory, AS220′s youth photography and training program, proudly presents a culmination of their collective work in a 2010 calendar. Each month is accompanied by a black and white photo straight from the portfolio of a PhotoMem student. Much of the work presented in the calendar was recently featured in a show at Providence City Hall.
In the Photographic Memory program, young people gain technical training in photography and develop a unique visual style, and have the opportunity to hone their creative skills with guidance from supportive and talented peers and mentors. The work produced by students is consistently compelling and covers a broad range of themes, each told through from a unique perspective and in a way only they can tell it.
This very special collection of work from some of Rhode Island’s most talented youth, is being released in conjunction with AS220′s 25th Anniversary Annual Fund Drive. For a $15 donation, you can have a full year of photographic inspiration and support programs like PhotoMem and other youth and public programming in the Paul Krot Community Darkroom.
All proceeds from this project, conceived and designed by PhotoMem, Broad Street Studio Product Design Team and through the Paul Krot Community Darkroom at AS220, will help fund these programs and will support and maintain continued photo programs and training at AS220.
