Island Moving Co.’s unique “Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff” has been chosen to be part of a story on Nutcrackers around the nation on Good Morning America’s Christmas morning show. Producers from the ABC morning show contacted the Company last week, asking for video of the production. Mary Pflum, producer for GMA, said that New York Times Chief Dance Critic Alastair Macaulay had suggested including the Newport ballet company’s site specific version of the classic tale, saying, “he said we should definitely include your Nutcracker. He loved it.”
