The application for the French-American Jazz Exchange (“FAJE”) program is now available. A program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and FACE (“French-American Cutlural Exchange”), FAJE supports projects designed collaboratively by French and American professional jazz artists that encourage artistic exploration, foster intercultural dialogue, and contribute to the dynamism of the art form. Projects eligible for support can include creative residencies, composition, recording, performances, and other activities that develop new professional relationships and audiences.
The application deadline for the 2011-2012 program is May 31, 2011 for projects taking place between September 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012.
American applicants should direct their questions to Sara Donnelly at sara@midatlanticarts.org. French applicants should contact Emmanuel Morlet at emmanuel.morlet@diplomatie.gouv.fr.
