RiverzEdge is hiring!

ELO VISTA & Studio VISTA (2 positions) – Full-Time

VISTA members spend one year in full-time service to address the needs of low-income communities. All projects focus on building permanent infrastructure in organizations to help them more effectively bring individuals and communities out of poverty. The RiverzEdge Arts Project VISTAS will build capacity for volunteer programs that harness specific talents in the community to meet acute and well-documented need among at high-risk Woonsocket youth in the RiverzEdge Studios and Woonsocket High School ELO Program. Community outreach and creative programming are primary activities of both positions.

Programs Assistant — Part-Time

The Programs Assistant works in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment to support, administer and track youth programs and the grants, client jobs and media operations that fund them. The position combines administrative tasks with independent initiatives to ensure the high functioning of the organization. This is a part-time position with strong opportunity for expansion and advancement. Independent agents of change, cultural creatives and young upstarts encouraged to apply.

Green Design Studio Assistant — Part-Time

The Green Design Studio Assistant is responsible for assisting with a youth employment and GED attainment program under the direction of our Green Design Studio Director. This position will be responsible for helping to oversee 15 high school aged youth in a research, design and build program that focuses on contemporary environmental issues as well as a historical model interpretation. The 15 youth will also be pursuing their GED while employed in the program and must attain their certificates by June 2012. This position will also act as a liaison between the GED program, tutors and community partners and potential employers with our youth involved with this project.
