NEWPORT, RI: The Newport Art Museum‘s art school, the Coleman Center for Creative Studies, has launched a series of one-day Saturday art-making workshops this autumn. Topics include batik, printmaking and photography. Detailed descriptions and registration can be found online at www.NewportArtMuseum.org. Fees range from $50 to $105. A 10% discount is offered for those registering two weeks before the workshop date. “Intro to Batik” with Christina Miles on September 24, 9 am – 3 pm (Museum members $65, non-members $80, $15 materials fee) “Intro to Non-silver Photographic Prints” with Matt Wronksi offered over two Saturdays, October 1 and October 8, 12 – 3 pm (Members $65, non-members $80, $25 materials fee). “Provincetown White Line Prints” with Brian Larkin on October 15, 10am – 3 pm (Museum members $95, non-members $105) “Intro to Scanner Photography” with Dan McManus on October 22, 12 – 3 pm (Museum members $40, non-members $45, studio fee $10) “Paper Lithography” with Victoria Kniering on November 19, 9 am – 12 pm (Museum members $60, non-members $70, studio fee $10) |
