Attleboro Arts Museum Seeks Executive Director

Company: Attleboro Arts Museum

Job title: Executive Director

Company Overview: The Attleboro Arts Museum is an arts institution dedicated to the promotion of education, creativity and cultural awareness through the visual and performing arts. Located ten miles north of Providence and forty miles southwest of Boston along the I-95 corridor, the Attleboro Arts Museum is a cultural center of southeastern Massachusetts and neighboring Rhode Island. Founded in 1929, the Museum spent most of its early years in a small city-owned building in Attleboro’s Capron Park. In 1992, at the invitation of the city’s business and political leaders, the Trustees decided to relocate the Museum to a vacant department store on an acre of land in the city’s downtown in order to meet the growing demands for its services. The Museum opened its Park Street doors in 1994, where it now anchors one end of the city’s burgeoning downtown revitalization efforts. The Museum is a wonderful space with 3,500 square feet of open gallery, 14-foot ceilings and movable walls. This beautiful, flexible, first-class exhibition space is unparalleled in the Boston-Providence corridor. There is an established Museum School where each quarter over 100 children and adults take studio classes from an accomplished faculty.
