Poetry for hope
Friday, April 17th, 2009April 19th
Thru April 23rdAt a time when the world is at war, the economy is failing, and the environment is being pushed to precarious limits, Rhode Islanders may enjoy “Poetry For Hope,” a weeklong gathering of national State Poets Laureate who will travel throughout the state celebrating poetry, music, the humanities, and the unique people and voices of Rhode Island.
The week will include events designed for people of all ages. There will be readings, visits to more than 20 schools, and panels and workshops - all of them participatory and free. Join us for the celebration.
