(Bristol, RI) Master printmaker and painter, Eric Goldberg of Mansfield, CT, will speak on Saturday afternoon, May 17th at 2pm at Gallery 297, 297 Hope Street in Bristol, RI on the formation of the Boston Printmakers’ Miniature Print Traveling Exhibit and about the various techniques used by the 71 printmakers. His paintings range in size from murals to works that could be described as almost miniatures. Goldberg’s prints are primarily etchings and usually contain a wide range of aquatints, which he hand-burnishes much in the way one would work a mezzotint. His subject matter ranges from still life to landscape to portrait. Critics and reviewers have described his paintings and prints as “meditative, contemplative and uplifting”.
