“The Art Vote 2008″: Arts and Democracy
Thursday, July 31st, 2008“The Art Vote 2008″: Arts and Democracy, is a juried, thematic exhibition hosted by Cotuit Center for the Arts (CCftA). Voting is an active wish– a wish for change, for better days, a hopeful future. It is sometimes a protest of the now. Art can be a tool to invoke and inspire change. CCftA offers a challenge to artists to become part of the democratic process and create an “art vote”. John Lennon’s art sang, “We all want to change the world”.
