RI Artist Programming on RIPBS

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

I am happy to announce that the Networks 2008 Videos will begin

airing on Rhode Island PBS affiliates starting Thursday, November 6th

at 8:30pm. Please make a note of this and take the time to support

this program by watching, and telling all of your friends to do the

same. This is a great way to celebrate our community of incredible

artists.

The videos, 15 pieces in all, are being compiled into 30 minute

segments. The first sampling will be artists: Walter Feldman,

Timothy Philbrick, and Toots Zynsky.

NetWorks 2008 is an exhibition platform curated by Dr. Joseph Chazan

& Umberto Crenca, of AS220, featuring the work of selected

contemporary RI visual artists.

The NetWorks exhibition is currently open at The Newport Art Museum,

Newport, RI, http://www.newportartmuseum.org/ and runs until January 2009. This exhibit highlights the work & achievement of these

diverse and influential RI artists. Please attend the opening

reception for the artists on Friday, November 21. The exhibition

catalog produced by Design Providence will be available then as well.

This unique project brings together an unprecedented and diverse
