A Creative Impact Series Exhibition

The act or process of remembering can be a pleasant, even joyous, experience. However, for
some, select memories can be painful to conjure. No matter the outlook, our experiences
provide fertile artistic ground.

A Call for Artists:
All Creative Impact Series artists are invited to submit up to three works that respond to the act
or concept of remembering. All mediums and interpretations will be considered for review.
A team of Creative Impact Series Partners will review all submissions and select one piece from
each artist. Only submissions on CD (DVD) will be reviewed. There are no exceptions.

Send or deliver one CD marked with artist’s name, mailing address, email and telephone/cell along with entry form by ENTRY DEADINE: May 1, 2012 at 3pm to Attleboro Arts Museum.

Remembering will be on display at the Attleboro Arts Museum from June 16 – June 30, 2012 in the Ottmar Gallery.
Opening Awards Reception: Saturday, June 16, 1pm – 4pm. Free and open to all.

2. Award of Excellence
3. Honorable Mention
The 3 artists that receive these awards will each be asked to submit a digital portfolio of 12
images for review. After considering all 3 portfolios, one artist will be awarded a month‐long
solo exhibition in the Attleboro Arts Museum’s Community Gallery (exhibition date TBD ‐ no
sooner than Spring 2013).

Entry Guidelines:
-All mediums and expressions of Remembering from Creative Impact Series artists will be
juried.
-Creative Impact Series artists are those that have registered or attended at least one CIS
event (events include – October, 2010: Providence Art Club; January 2011: John Nicolas Brown Center; April 2011: Attleboro Arts Museum; September 2011: Atrium Gallery. Alternatively, you may fill out the attached survey to qualify as a CIS artist).
-Each artist may submit up to 3 entries, however only one piece from each artist will be
on display.
-2D work cannot exceed a finished size of 48” x 48 ” – including the frame. Submissions
cannot weigh more than 100 lbs.
-There is no size limit on 3D however work cannot weigh more than 100lbs.
-Entry fee: There is no fee for this exhibition.

The Creative Impact Series features programs and panel discussions designed for artists and arts professionals in southern New England. These programs introduce attendees to curators, fellow artists, gallery owners, new creative ideas, potential exhibition opportunities, and provide low stress networking sessions.
