Rhode Island School For the Deaf Murals Artist: Peter Geisser Location: RI School For the Deaf, Providence, RI Installation Date: May 1, 2010 Summary: When the State of Rhode Island built a new School For the Deaf, the decision was made to use the Percent For Art public art funds to conserve and reinstall some of school's original murals in the new space. Pell Award winning arts educator Peter Geisser taught for 30 years at the school and originally made most of the murals with the students. He was on hand again to manage the reinstallation. |
