Fresnel Ring

This piece is composed of Glass blades and wire and is suspended in the Located in the Rotunda Lobby of the Convention Center. When activated by daylight the dichroic glass blades scatter light across the drum of the rotunda, creating a constantly shifting pattern of light throughout the space. The sculpture [can] be perceived in different ways, depending on the time of day or season.
